Investigation of Bladder Volume Measurement Based on Fringe Effect of Electrical Impedance Tomography Sensors

Patients with bladder dysfunction are unable to perceive volume and urinate spontaneously, hence usually require catheterization. Personalized catheterization can effectively reduce the risk of urinary tract infections caused by Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) provide an effective tool for personalized monitoring volume. This study exploits fringe effect a 2D EIT sensor derive 3D volumetric information about improve measurement consistency accuracy under varied urine conductivities.
